To leverage the AI model capabilities of the Claude platform, the entire process consists of two main steps:

First, register an account on the Claude platform. Second, create and securely store your API key within your account.

Below is the complete beginner-friendly guide for the Claude platform. Following the "register first, then retrieve the key" approach, this guide will walk you through the process from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and easy onboarding experience.

1. Email + Password Registration

Users can select "Continue with email" on the claude.ai official website to register:

1.Visithttps://claude.aiand click "Continue with email."

2.Enter a valid email address, set a password and name information, then click "Create Account."

3.Log in to your email and click the verification link sent by Claude to complete email verification.

4.After verification is complete, you can enter the Claude interface and begin using it.

Feature: No need to rely on third-party accounts; can be completed in one step but still requires non-mainland China phone number verification.

2. Google Account One-Click Login

Click "Continue with Google" on the registration page to complete authorization through Google OAuth:

If using this method for first-time registration, the system will automatically create a Claude account associated with your email.

Thereafter, you can only log in through the same Google account and cannot log in using email + password or other OAuth entry points.

Advantage: No need to manually fill in email verification codes, saving tedious steps; suitable for users who already have Google ecosystem accounts but still requires non-mainland China phone number verification.

Visit Anthropic’s official website to register an account or log in to your existing account. Apply for API access permissions.

After submitting payment information and receiving approval, you will be issued an API key.
