To use the AI model capabilities of the Gemini platform, the entire process mainly involves two steps:
First, register an account on the Gemini platform.
Second, create and securely store your API key within the account.
The following is the complete guide to getting started with the Gemini platform. This guide follows the "register first, then obtain the key" approach, taking you step-by-step from scratch to being fully operational.

1. Personal Google Account Registration Method and Process
Entry point: Visit gemini.google.com,click Sign in in the upper right corner, and select a personal Google account (Gmail or other Google account created with a personal email) to log in.
Verification and age requirements: Account creation is complete after logging in, with no additional setup required. When using a personal account, users must be at least 13 years old (or the legal age in their country/region), and accounts managed by Family Link are not supported.

2. Work/School Google Account Registration
Work account
Enterprise or organizational users can log in to Gemini using a Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) account without additional registration procedures.
When using a business account, administrators must enable "Gemini Apps" permissions in the Workspace admin backend, and users must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority).
School account
If a school (educational institution) has enabled Gemini access for Google Workspace for Education, students can log in using their school Google account.
When using a school account, users must be at least 13 years old (or the legal age in their country/region), and the service must be enabled by the institution's administrator in the Google Admin Console.

3. Obtain API Key
Visit the Google AI Studio console and log in with your Google account:https://aistudio.google.com
Click the blue button on the left side to get the API
Click the blue button on the right side to create an API
If you are a first-time user, you will need to create a new project or select an existing project and agree to the relevant terms of service and policies.
